My name is Carrie Johnson. I grew up in a little town in Northwest Iowa called Estherville. I started
my college career at Iowa Lakes Community College where I was active in the music department. That is also where I met my
future husband. I transfered to the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls in 1997. While there, I was
a member of the UNI Marching Band as well as a student in the college of education. I married my husband Jeremy in July
of 1998. I graduated in December of 2000 with a degree in Elementary Education from the University of Northern Iowa. We have
two children. Our son Micah was born in 2003 and our daughter Melody was born in 2005. They are both very active children
and the light of our lives. I'm sure you will hear lots of stories about them over the course of the school year.
This year will be my 9th year at Dunkerton and I can honestly say that this is a wonderful school to
be teaching at. I enjoy my students and the fellow staff here and I look forward to many more successful years at Dunkerton.
